Hi, I’m McKalynn, an independently licensed clinical social worker and the founder of The Reframe Room. I specialize in helping individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by past experiences find relief and clarity through a trauma-informed, compassionate approach to therapy.

My work is primarily grounded in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing experiences in a way that feels less activating and more integrated. I also work with clients to build the emotional regulation, grounding, and coping skills needed to feel safe and supported before beginning EMDR processing. I believe meaningful healing happens when therapy is paced thoughtfully and tailored to each person’s readiness.

I strive to create a space that feels calm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative—where you don’t have to have the “right words” and where your experiences are met with respect and care. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, my goal is to help you make sense of your experiences and move toward a life that feels more settled and aligned.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. You don’t have to do it perfectly—you just have to begin. I look forward to working with you.
